The Most Common Treatment Procedures

The most procedure of treating head lice includes head lice insecticides such as gels, lotions and shampoos and web combing. This head lice insecticide comes as a dermal cream. The active ingredient used in Lyclear is Permethirin and it can be used to treat not only head lice but also to treat crab lice and scabies. Those who suffer from scabies suffer from severe itching that leads to red blotches in skin and to secondary infection. If it is being used for head lice or crab lice, it should be applied on suffering area and should be left for 24 hours on skin. If used for treating scabies, it should be applied to the whole body and left overnight.

Things to keep in Mind

If you are using Lyclear, you should keep in mind that this cream can only be used externally. When applied, make sure to be careful to avoid any kind of contact with the eyes or mouth. The person who is helping the patient should wear gloves made of rubber. It is best effective when it is applied on cool and dry skin. Wait for a while to cool your skin if you have just taken a bath. After the Lyclear cream has been applied, it should be kept in the body for eight to twenty four hours depending on for which purpose it is being applied. If it is applied for scabies then it should be left in the skin for eight to twelve hours and used for crab lice then it should be kept in skin for twenty-four hours. If the hands in which it has been applied is washed with soap, it has to be applied again.

  • Infants (under 2 months old)
